Smarts & Crafts

Smarts & Crafts  It’s a delightful website created by Derek Fagerstrom and Lauren Smith, owners of the Curiosity Shoppe and gallery.  They offer crafts, kits, and curios for the creatively inclined. They also happen to be the co-founders of the Curiosity Guild, an arts-and-crafts collective that offers workshops, field trips, appreciation nights, and special events. Their work is sure to inspire the Arts & Crafts Symposium I recently joined. Our group had a little adventure on Saturday in the Garment District of New York. We spent most of our time at B&Js and Mood’s. The amount of fabric was incredible…and the possibilities were endless. I opted for a crinkly cream fabric and deep burgundy with an embroidered design. The plan is to make curtains for my new place.
